Faster MasterDATAlink Version 2.13 Released
A new, significantly faster version of MasterDATAlink is now available for download. Version 2.13 downloads and/or updates depending on what it determines is the current state of the composite / breadth datafile it finds on your computer. If the historical data is accurate within five days of the current trade session, that file is simply updated. If the historical datafile is inaccurate in any way or is out of date by more than five days, the entire datafile is downloaded from the web site.
In other words, if you update once in the morning, your updates will be exceptionally fast for the remainder of the day. If you go on a two week vacation (and don’t have you computer set up to automatically download your datafiles), the first time you run MasterDATAlink will take much longer (but still pretty fast all things considered).
To download MasterDATAlink Version 2.13, MasterDATA Composite Plug-in users should go to the following URL:
http://www.masterdatacompositeplugin.com/Content/DownloadAndInstall.htm
and click on “Download and Update”
To download MasterDATAlink Version 2.13, MasterDATACSV users should go to the following URL:
http://www.masterdatacsv.com/Content/MasterDATAlink.htm
and click on “Download and Install Update”
Neither update will overwrite you current configuration files.
By the way, I mentioned automatically updating your composite / breadth datafiles. This feature is very easy to set up and is described at the following locations:

One final note. We lost one of our primary computers over the weekend and just got it completely up and running this morning (3-4-08). If you sent us an email in the last few days and received no response, there is a good chance it got lost during the disruption. We do maintain very rigorous and redundant backup routines, so overall, we only lost a day or so of work. First time we have ever needed them though. May our lost CPU R.I.P.
Thank you all for your support and good trading.
