Test the New MetaStockCSV Plug-in

First of all, thank you for helping test the new MetaStockCSV Plug-in. At this stage of end user testing, there may be many revisions posted for download on the web site. Unless they are essential, I will refrain from informing you of every one of them. When a major revision is posted and, certainly, when the plug-in is “ready for release”, I will notify you via email. I personally use this same plug-in for my own work. It is not just something to sell. I use the existing plug-in increasingly every day and think of more and more uses for it. I do a lot of work in Excel. Obviously, the plug-in is ideal for getting the results of these early concepts into MetaStock quickly and easily. When I find something that seems promising, I plug that directly into MetaStock. If I really like what I see, I hard code it into a stand alone program where I can coordinate it with my existing work. The plug-in allows me to easily view the results of my work at every step of the process. Finally, I can use the results of this hard coded program back in MetaStock, again, through the plug-in. Everyone has their own method of development. This is currently mine. The primary benefit of running the plug-in on many different computer configurations is an improved plug-in, not only in terms of “will it run”, but just as important “how it runs”. As a result of received email suggestions and comments, I just posted a new revision on the site which should run both faster and more reliably. If you want to “upgrade” at this time click on this link: http://www.masteremail.com/MetaStockCSV/Downloads/ Please remember, if you have started configuring your own plug-in for your own data files, download the “Update” version (the lower button on the download page). This version will not overwrite your configuration. |
